This Privacy Policy explains how Big Data 5 Inc., doing business as Pocket Pals Card Grading ("Pocket Pals", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, protects, and discloses personal information in connection with the website located at https://pocketpalsgrading.com, the alpha card-submission system, grading and authentication services, customer support, return-shipping coordination, certification records, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
The alpha website does not currently require customer accounts. Where applicable law requires consent before we collect, use, or disclose personal information, we will seek that consent.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Contact and Return-Shipping Information
When you create a submission or contact us, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Telephone number, if provided
- Street address
- City, province/state, postal or ZIP code, and country
- Return-shipping address
- Other contact information you voluntarily provide
We use this information to:
- Create and identify your submission
- Contact you about your cards
- Provide submission and shipping updates
- Arrange and invoice return shipping after grading

Card Submission and Grading Information
For submitted cards or collectibles, we may collect or create information such as:

Communications
We may retain information you provide when you email us, submit a support request, send photographs or videos, provide feedback, report a problem, dispute a submission, or otherwise communicate with Pocket Pals.
Payment and Return-Shipping Information
Qualifying alpha submissions currently have a $0 grading fee. After grading, customers may receive an invoice or payment request for return shipping.
When return-shipping payment is processed, a third-party payment provider may collect payment-card and billing information. Pocket Pals may receive transaction details such as payment status, transaction identifiers, billing details, refunds, disputes, or chargeback information.
Pocket Pals does not intend to directly store complete payment-card numbers when payment is handled by a third-party processor.
Website and Technical Information
When you access our website, our hosting or security systems may automatically collect:

- Browser and device type
- Operating system
- General geographic region
- Date and time of access
- Pages viewed
- Referring page or website

4. CERTIFICATION RECORDS AND PUBLIC CARD INFORMATION
A graded or encapsulated card may receive a certification number and may be associated with a public verification page, grading report, card images, grade or designation, grading details, and population information.
Pocket Pals may make card-related certification information public where appropriate. We will not intentionally publish your personal contact, billing, payment, or shipping information as part of a public certification record.
5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for website operation, security, submission processing, analytics, or performance.
You may be able to block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may cause parts of the website or submission form to operate incorrectly.
If non-essential analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies are added later, Pocket Pals will update this Privacy Policy and provide consent controls where required by applicable law.
6. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our website may contain links to or rely on third-party payment services, carriers, social-media platforms, hosting providers, or other online services.
Pocket Pals does not control the privacy or security practices of unaffiliated third parties. Information you provide directly to a third party is governed by that third party's privacy policy and terms.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Services are not intended to be used independently by children under 13 years of age.
If a person is under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, a parent or legal guardian should be involved in the submission and should provide the contact and return-shipping information used for the transaction.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a child in a manner that does not comply with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address that information.
A parent or guardian may contact us at support@pocketpalsgrading.com regarding a privacy concern involving a minor.
8. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Complete grading and authentication submissions
- Return submitted cards
- Maintain submission, shipping, payment, and support records
- Resolve complaints and disputes
- Prevent fraud and maintain security records
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Certification records, grading results, card images, certification numbers, and population-report information may be retained for an extended period or indefinitely where reasonably necessary to preserve the integrity and history of Pocket Pals certifications.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, destroy, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to legal and legitimate business requirements.
9. DATA SECURITY
Pocket Pals uses reasonable administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, theft, misuse, alteration, or destruction.
No website, email system, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should avoid sending highly sensitive information through unsecured communication channels.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Pocket Pals is operated from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Because submissions are accepted worldwide and some service providers may operate in other jurisdictions, personal information may be processed or stored outside your province, state, territory, or country. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.
Where required by law, we will use reasonable safeguards for cross-border or interprovincial transfers of personal information.

By providing an email address or telephone number, you authorize Pocket Pals to contact you regarding your submission, grading, authentication, discrepancies, return-shipping invoice, payment, shipping, support requests, policy changes, and other administrative matters.
The current alpha website is focused on transactional and administrative communications. If Pocket Pals later introduces promotional email or marketing communications, we will provide any opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, business practices, technology, legal requirements, or regulatory guidance.
When this Privacy Policy is revised, we will update the "Last Revised" date. Where required by law, additional notice or consent may be provided before a material change takes effect.
