Precision Score & Condition Grade
The Pocket Pals Precision Score provides a detailed condition result from 0 to 100. The Pocket Pals Condition Grade converts that result into a simplified grade from 1 to 10 with an accompanying condition descriptor.

Condition Categories
The Precision Score is calculated from four condition categories totaling a maximum of 100 points.
Surface
Surface condition contributes up to 35 points to the Precision Score.
Corners
Corner condition contributes up to 25 points to the Precision Score.
Edges
Edge condition contributes up to 20 points to the Precision Score.
Centering
Centering contributes up to 20 points to the Precision Score.
Authentication, Alteration & Grade Caps
Authentication, card dimensions, trimming, recolouring, restoration, cleaning, and other forms of alteration are evaluated separately and do not add points to the Precision Score.
A calculated Precision Score does not always guarantee the corresponding Condition Grade if a serious defect or other grading rule places a maximum cap on the final result.
In those cases, the card may not receive a normal Pocket Pals Condition Grade.
